La Tri Femenina. Eva Espejo’s Ecuador will play the preliminary phase of the 2027 Women’s World Cup play-off tournament in Rabat, Morocco. FIFA confirmed on Tuesday that all nine games will be played at the Mohammed VI Football Complex between November 28 and December 5.
The dates
Ecuador open against Ghana on Saturday, November 28, face South Africa on Tuesday, December 1, and finish against Chinese Taipei on Saturday, December 5, according to FIFA’s match calendar. Uzbekistan and Papua New Guinea complete the six-team field. Every team plays three games, and the top two in the overall table go through to the final phase of the play-off tournament, which FIFA has scheduled for the international window from February 23 to March 6, 2027.

FIFA said the full match schedule is now available, but its online match calendar does not yet show kickoff times for Ecuador’s games. Ecuadorian outlet Extra reported kickoffs at 2:00 PM on November 28, 2:00 PM on December 1 and 12:00 PM on December 5, Ecuador time. Once US clocks go back on November 1, Ecuador time and ET are the same. We will add the times to our Schedule page once FIFA or the FEF confirms them.
A familiar venue for FIFA
FIFA noted that the Mohammed VI Football Complex is currently hosting the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Ghana, South Africa and Chinese Taipei are the same three opponents Ecuador drew in August. Our play-off explainer covers the path to Brazil 2027. Espejo has not yet named her squad for Rabat.
