La Tri. Marcelo Gallardo’s coaching staff kept up their tour of Ecuadorian football on Monday with a visit to Guayaquil City, the federation announced on X. Later in the day, La Tri presented the U-15 delegation that will represent Ecuador at the first FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival in Baku, which starts on Saturday.

Gallardo’s staff at Guayaquil City
The FEF posted on X at 12:53 PM ET that members of Gallardo’s coaching staff had visited Guayaquil City’s facilities, where they met club president Christian Zamora, head coach Pool Gavilánez and his staff. The federation called it “a space for dialogue and the exchange of ideas” and said the visit was part of its “ongoing outreach to the clubs of Ecuadorian football.” The post did not say which members of the staff made the trip.
Teleamazonas reported that Gallardo’s assistants have started touring the country’s clubs as the national team prepares for its November friendlies. It was the staff’s third public appearance in three days. La Tri said they watched Aucas vs Liga de Quito on Saturday and Barcelona SC vs Universidad Católica on Sunday. Our November radar covers the LigaPro names linked with a call-up.
Guayaquil City are second in the four-team group for Ecuador’s Copa Sudamericana spot, on 43 points, seven behind leaders Libertad, who beat them 4-0 on Saturday. They visit Emelec on Sunday, October 25 (3:00 PM ET).
Ecuador play Costa Rica in Quito on November 13 and Bolivia in Guayaquil on November 17. The federation has not yet announced the stadiums or kickoff times.
