La Tri is going back to Quito. The Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) confirmed on Wednesday that Ecuador will host Costa Rica at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa on Friday, November 13, and then face Bolivia at the Estadio Monumental Banco Pichincha in Guayaquil on Tuesday, November 17. Both games are international friendlies.

Back at the Atahualpa

The Costa Rica game kicks off at 7:00 PM in Quito, which is also 7:00 PM ET, because the US clocks go back on November 1. It will be Ecuador’s first game at the Atahualpa in nine years. The last one, according to El Universo, was the 3-1 loss to Argentina on October 10, 2017, the night of Lionel Messi’s hat-trick. It will also be Marcelo Gallardo’s first home game as Ecuador coach, and La Tri’s first home game of any kind in more than a year.
