Ecuadorians scored all three of Tijuana’s goals in Saturday night’s 3-3 draw with Monterrey at the Estadio BBVA. Adonis Preciado got two and Jackson Porozo the other. Preciado finished with a FotMob rating of 8.7, the best of any Ecuadorian abroad this weekend so far, and Tijuana named him their MVP.
Porozo put Tijuana ahead in the fifth minute, heading in from inside the box after a ball from Francisco González. Hugo Cuypers then scored twice for Monterrey, a 19th-minute penalty and a goal right before half-time. Preciado equalized at 2-2 in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time, set up by Rafael Fernández.
Lucas Ocampos put Monterrey back in front in the 57th minute, but three minutes later Preciado made it 3-3 from an Ignacio Rivero pass. He was booked in the 68th minute and replaced two minutes later. Porozo played the full 90 and had a FotMob rating of 7.4 with eight clearances.
Both players had also been involved a week ago. In Tijuana’s 4-1 win over Santos on October 25, Preciado scored once and assisted another, and Porozo played the full game.
Jhojan Julio scores from the spot at Chivas
At the Estadio Akron, Atlante lost 4-2 to Chivas, but Jhojan Julio scored their second goal with an 83rd-minute penalty awarded after a VAR review. He played all 90 minutes and had a FotMob rating of 7.7. Julio is one of the four bubble players on our tracker, just outside the regular national team pool.
